GHD’s **Environmental Assessment and Approvals Team **has a solid pipeline of amazing projects that we can't wait to get into. As such, we are looking for a **Technical Director **to join our team of **Impact Assessment and Permitting Renewables Specialists, **with a combination of strong leadership, commercial acumen, client relationships and technical ability. We are working on a growing number of exciting wind farm, pumped-hydro, CCS, hydrogen and other renewable projects within Queensland and across the globe in recognition of the global energy transition and GHD’s Future Energy strategy.

Our current project portfolio includes undertaking environmental assessments, acquiring regulatory approvals and providing innovative environmental management solutions for government, industry and private sector clients across South Queensland, and in collaboration with GHD colleagues across Australia and GHD’s global operations.

Our team in **Brisbane **comprises environmental professionals ranging from new graduates to experienced Technical Directors with over 20 years’ experience, so this is an opportunity to join our highly skilled team to provide positive outcomes for a diverse range of high-profile clients in both traditional and emerging market sectors.

Reporting to the **Business Group Leader **- **Environmental Assessment, Planning and Stakeholder Engagement **your key roles and responsibilities will involve:

- Developing proposals and completing technical project work in environmental assessment, planning and management to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams by designing and coordinating studies and delivering environmental assessments
- Project management from proposal through to delivery exceeding client’s expectations
- Developing business opportunities through establishing client relationships and winning repeat work.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning or similar
- Experience in the design, coordination and management of environmental impact assessment studies and regulatory planning reports.
- Proven history in identifying, winning, maintaining and delivering exceptional projects across a broad range of market sectors. It will be advantageous to have previous experience in the Energy and Resources sector, working on renewable projects.
- Previous experience in a consulting environment with effective and proven business development and strategy, networking and client relationship management skills
- Clear and concise report and proposal writing skills, including preparation of environmental impact assessments, environmental impact statements and regulatory planning reports
- Strong organisational skills, project management and ability to work independently to deadlines and budgets.
