Opal ANZ is an industry-leading paper and packaging business. We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at our site in Botany/ Matraville as we are currently looking for an experienced Production Scheduler to come onboard

The key focus of this role will be to:

- Monitor consumption to forecast, making short and long term adjustments as required for all customers
- Produce an optimised production plan and communicate to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the inventory levels to ensure there is sufficient stock available for consistent supply
- Develop efficient Machine Plan Schedules (MPS) on a daily, quarterly and 6-month basis
- Work with customer service to ensure customer orders are placed in time to meet production schedule, achieving the most efficient result for the business
- Perform system administration tasks to ensure accuracy of information
- Identify opportunities for process improvement across supply chain and production teams and contribute to their implementation
- Ensuring that production is running in line with the schedule and investigating discrepancies when it is not

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

- Experience working in a role scheduling production (is required)
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment would be highly regarded
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience working in a corrugated or fibre industry would be viewed favourably (but is not a requirement)
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- A degree in supply chain, logistics or engineering would be ideal
- Strong prioritization and organization skills
- The ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
