In this role, you’ll assist in the provision of Waste Management and Circular Economy consulting services in support of the technical and commercial needs of the wider WSP business.

Our Property and Buildings team is a world-leading management and technical consultancy operating across all sectors. The Waste and Circular Economy Team sits within Property and Buildings and includes leadership and project delivery staff. The leadership team are primarily responsible for business development, project management and team management. This role sits within the project delivery team.

The main activities and responsibilities of the role include project delivery, assisting junior staff and business development.

**What you’ll do**:
Project Delivery tasks
- Advise clients on trends within the waste and circular economy sector
- Advice clients on embedding circular economy principles into projects
- Preparation of circular economy reports, strategies, policies and guidelines
- Perform research regarding emerging circular economy principles and materials
- Attendance at project meetings accompanied by Circular Economy Leader
- Analysis and interpretation of waste generation data from client supplied case study data.
- Assume responsibility for the results of simple projects or sections of larger projects.

Staff Assistance tasks
- Staff feedback, training /teaching and knowledge sharing on a regular basis.
- Support broader Waste and Resource Recovery team on waste projects.

Business Development tasks
- Prepare bids and tenders including developing a scope of work and pricing for proposals.
- Attend industry functions including company representation at seminars, conferences, networking events or forums.

**About you**:
**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science/Science, Architecture, or equivalent discipline (e.g. industrial design)

Experience and skills
- 2-3 years’ experience in Circular Economy, Sustainability and/or Construction Materials
- Including extensive experience in Waste Management and Resource Recovery
- 1 year+ consulting experience
- Experience with policy and strategy projects (guidelines, document responses, advisory documents)
- Ideally have worked in more than one of these industries: infrastructure/built environment, government, or sustainability sector
- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Excellent report writing, analytical skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel expertise) and attention to detail
