- Our client is one of Australia's leading foodservice meat distributors. They provide the highest quality meat products to restaurants, clubs and pubs, steakhouses, entertainment venues, airlines, hotels and healthcare providers._
- They are looking for an experienced Butcher Knife Hand/ Portion Cutter who possesses the drive and ambition needed to succeed in a demanding and fast-paced environment. You will work 6 days a week with Saturday being a short day._

Salary - $90,000

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Cutting, trimming, and preparing meats of all kinds according to the rules of the art
- Loading and unloading meat products
- Operating meat slicers and cutting machines such as bandsaws
- Using knife skills and knife sharpening skills.
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation rules are respected always
- Ensure health and safety standards are respected by employees

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Able to accurately select various grades & cuts of meat according to customer specifications
- Relevant qualification (Cert 3 Meat processing)
- Provide products to a consistent and exceptionally high standard
- Understand food health and safety standards to maintain consistent product quality
- Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Work autonomously and as part of a team
- Assist with product development when required
