Your new organisation

This leading scientific organisation is seeking a Sourcing and Contract Specialist to join their procurement team for an initial 12-month fixed term contract with the likelihood of extension after that. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this team provides high-quality, end-to-end, flexible and responsive management and advice to the whole organisation.

Your new role

Within this role you will be supporting the procurement manager with organisation-wide strategic procurement initiatives, as well and developing and maintaining excellent relationships with all relevant stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
Tender process coordination
Procurement and contract document preparation
Contract variation drafting in consultation with the procurement team
Contracts register maintenance
Procurement process research, review and analysis
Assist with the development of procurement strategies
Review of procurement policies and procedures

What you’ll need to succeed

Flawless communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience with procurement systems and processes
Understanding of contracts
Analytical and problem-solving skills
