**Position Title**: Staff Specialist - Respiratory - Primary Care - PPT 8 hours per week - Malabar

Specifically, we’re looking for applicants that are eligible for or current registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Respiratory) and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialist (State) Award. Someone with demonstrated knowledge, skills and clinical experience in the management of Respiratory conditions for patients. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

Here at Justice Health NSW, this position provides specialist assessment and ongoing care of patients in correctional centres administered by Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (Justice Health NSW) in accordance with best evidence
- based practice and organisational policies. Provide clinical management and specialist advice for patients with respiratory illnesses, including Chronic Obstructive Airway Disease (COPD) and Asthma. The Staff Specialist Respiratory Care will be working in conjunction with other members of the Respiratory Care team to provide safe, culturally appropriate care to those in custody. The role and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with Network delegations, policies, procedures and operations systems, and in line with both the NSW Health and Network Codes of Conduct.
