**Production Underwriter - Workers Compensation | Perth**

We are seeking a Production Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Perth.

**You’ll be responsible for**:

- Developing and maintaining best in market relationships across assigned panel of Brokers.
- Ensuring business bound is aligned with divisional objectives as well as growth and profit portfolio balance
- Identifying profitable new business opportunities and the maximise conversion or strike rate of desired business
- Maximising the retention of preferred accounts and work with Underwriters to ensure timely review of exception renewal business
- Facilitating planned strategy meetings with Account Managers
- Keeping abreast of market conditions, trends and providing feedback to team members and act to capitalise on new business opportunities.

**Important to your success**:

- Significant experience in an operational, commercial underwriting role in a complex, matrixed general insurance organisation
- Adept at proactively building and maintaining professional relationships and networks to enhance industry positioning, exchange knowledge and elicit beneficial outcomes
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base
