Sheetmetal Worker - Fabrication and General Sheetmetal
- Tweed Heads NSW - 10 minutes south of Coolangatta airport

A position has become available with our company for a Sheetmetal worker in our factory. This role will be on a casual basis to begin with, days between Monday to Friday only. No weekend work. Opportunity for overtime through the week.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with CNC plasma cutting, folding and assembly of air conditioning ductwork including insulating to a finish product ready for installation.
- selecting metal stock, such as stainless steel, galvanised iron, mild steel, aluminium and copper, and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications
- reading and interpreting site measures of ductwork and plans for general metal fabrication
- Experience with use of workshop machinery, press brake, folder, guillotine, TIG, MIG & stick welding, CNC router, roller, Pittsburgh & TDF machine.
- fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, and
- otherwise joining etc
- finishing products by polishing, filing, sanding and cleaning assembled products

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role.
- Proficiency with sheet metal tools and machinery.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings.
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Forklift ticket desirable
- Welding experience desirable
- Experienced applicants only

Immediate start

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- No weekends
- Overtime

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Work Location: In person
