Fantastic senior opportunity to lead and develop our Metcash Food Supplier Trading Terms team. Your role will oversee the delivery of exceptional commercial outcomes for our business, enabling future growth strategies for the independent network, and ensuring compliance with the Food & Grocery Code of Conduct as signed by Metcash.

What you’ll do
- Lead an effective and collaborative team who oversee the robust negotiation plans aligned to Metcash Food strategy
- Negotiate Supplier Trading Terms representing a strong commercial return for the services that Metcash Food provides
- Collaborate with trading teams to ensure that Trading Terms enable Metcash Food growth objectives and working capital requirements
- Work with the commercial finance team to ensure that Trading Terms are accurately captured in internal systems and are being collected correctly
- Continue to simplify where necessary and enable compliance with FGCC

What you’ll bring

- Proven success in building partnerships with suppliers, delivering superior commercial outcomes and enabling growth
- Curiosity and focus on cultivating data and insights that determine action plans

- Highest level of professionalism in working with confidential supplier terms and information
- FMCG / Retail industry experience is highly regarded
