**About the opportunity**

The Operational Fleet Assistant provides on-the-ground support to ensure both new and existing assets are fully operational and ready. Based on site at the NSW SES Warehouse, the Operational Fleet Assistant offers hands-on support and exceptional customer service to the NSW SES, its clients, volunteers, and the public, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the fleet at that location.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Coordination of fleet asset movements at State Warehouse, including arrivals and departures.
- Conduct basic inspections and report any faults or issues to the Fleet Services team.
- Ensure fleet assets, equipment, and supplies are maintained in a state of operational readiness for reallocation, deployment, or disposal.
- Provide transportation services to and from suppliers, asset manufacturers, and as required for operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of asset movements and update registry systems accordingly

- Skilled in national heavy vehicle legislation and chain of responsibility requirements.
- Possess the following qualifications:

- A current HR driver’s license holder with the ability to travel.
- A current forklift licence
- First aid certificate
- Prepare, maintain and test response equipment certificate (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

- You will enjoy a 35-hour work week, with the potential for flexible work arrangements such as a nine-day fortnight or a four-day work week depending on the requirements of the role and operational needs

- Attractive salary range of $73,522.00 to $79,931.00 plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading
