**General Claims Consultant**

**What can you expect?**

The purpose of this role is to perform claims administration and management functions required throughout claims process for all general claims, ensuring you deliver positive outcomes for the client, in accordance with the business objectives and agreed key performance indicators. It is a diverse role, dealing with property, liability, motor vehicle, personal accident and transit claims.

**We will count on you to**:

- Managing claims in accordance with set-down requirements, which include:

- Claim lodgment/acceptance.
- Managing external providers (loss assessors, contractors etc.).
- Regular review of claims, including cost estimates.
- Regular communication with the clients.
- Claim payment scrutiny and authorization.
- Claim closures.
- Providing some direction to administration staff.

**What makes you stand out?**
- Dynamic with previous client facing experience
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in either the insurance industry or a closely related industry
- Excellent attention to detail. Great communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- An ability to “think outside the box”.
- A very good work ethic, including the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A good knowledge of general claim processes.
