Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced **Administration Clerk** to join the **Nephrology Department - Central Dialysis Unit.**

**Central Dialysis Unit** **(CDU) / 7North Dialysis **is a 12 chair facility plus an isolation room with 3 chairs to accommodate COVID positive patients is located on Level 7 of the Austin Tower, co-located with the renal ward - 7North.

CDU operates Monday to Saturday from 7am to 9.30pm and provides 24-hour on-call coverage to patients requiring out of hours treatment, Sundays and Public Holidays. Acute and Chronic Plasmapheresis for immunological and neurological conditions is performed within the department.

CDU also provides a remote dialysis service to patients located on other wards like 8W, CCU, ICU or the Emergency Department.

Admission or transfer is either through Emergency Department, Outpatient Clinic, Satellite Dialysis Units (Epping, Repatriation, Home therapies and North East Kidney Services) as a direct admission for Haemodialysis, Haemodiafiltration, Isolated Ultrafiltration or Plasma Exchange treatment.
