About the opportunity
We seek a skilled individual to work in our Aboriginal Programs team providing support and advocacy to our patients and families at Werribee Mercy Hospital.- This is an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander identified position- As part of a multi-disciplinary team, provide support to promote health, cultural safety, and well-being for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people- Assist in the identification of barriers for Aboriginal families in accessing health care

- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the Victorian Aboriginal community, culture and values- High level skills in the provision of support and advocacy to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people- Well-developed communication skills and a demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team- You are a dedicated and motivated individual- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
