**The opportunity**

We are currently looking for a **Project Finance Specialist** to become integral members of the Finance team of 14 based in Melbourne.

The location is hybrid between our **Melbourne **office and **work from home** (if desired). You will support project teams locally and nationally.

This is a pivotal role in which you will build relationships with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Corporate Finance whilst being part of a large group of like-minded professionals across Australia.

**You will**:

- Make project accounting recommendations throughout the Project Lifecycle
- Monitor project budgets and investigate any variances
- Interpret financial information to support project management and commercial decisions
- Champion data integrity and ensure accurate financial information is recorded in the ERP
- Assist with subcontractor engagements
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients
- Manage multiple projects of varying values at any given time
- Attend project-related meetings to inform the team regarding the status of project financials, articulating problem projects and following up on any identified actions as discussed

Some of your experience will include:

- Must have experience of project finance administration experience or a completed degree in Accounting and Finance with the passion to learn on the job
- Tertiary qualifications highly regarded but on the job experience will be reviewed as well
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Joint Venture and Alliance experience will be highly regarded
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and pick up new tasks quickly
