We are currently looking for an experienced Collections - Loss Mitigation Officer to handle all customer and vendor interaction and daily activities throughout the Asset Realisation process though to loan charge off. The primary objective is to perform daily tasks in line with policy and set procedures efficiently and effectively, thus mitigating the exposure and potential loss to VWFS.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Management of the Asset Realisation process in line with delegated authority
- Issue correspondence to customers in line with processes and procedures
- Post Repossession Notices
- Surrender Letters
- Valuation and Post Sale Letters
- Effectively update data on Pickles Portal and CMS
- Maintain the Post Repossession Register
- Authorise vehicle repairs in line with delegated authority, and obtain approval where outside of authority
- Authorise vehicle reserves in line with delegated authority, and obtain approval where outside of authority
- Release vehicles for sale ensuring all regulatory and internal requirements have been met
- Answer customer queries in relation to the Post Repossession, Asset Realisation and Charge off Processes.
- Management of the Write Off Process in line with Policy
- Review 180+ Days Arrears Report identifying accounts qualifying for write off whether a crystallised loss post sale of asset, or a statutory write off within Policy
- Maintain monthly Loss Report
- Process Write Offs on Customer Management System and engage Collections Team Leader to review and approve
- Issue s6Q and s21D Notices to customers post write off within policy and as outlined within Operating Procedures
- List Defaults with Credit Reporting Bureau and
- Issue correspondence to customers in line with processes and procedures
- Post Repossession Notices
- Prepare and circulate reporting to internal stakeholders with 100% accuracy and within SLA
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to liaise with dealers, sales professionals, internal and external parties
- 2 years' experience working in a similar environment including a demonstrated ability to identify and develop alternative solutions to problems, to evaluate courses of action and to reach logical conclusions.
- Experience in a fast paced Contact Centre environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute day to day collections activities.
- Good administrative experience is desirable
- Understanding the regulator and NCCP guidelines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, selecting language, tone and format to suit target audience.
