Wholesale Officer

We are currently looking for a Permanent Wholesale Officer to join our Commercial Credit Team reporting to the Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to liaise with Dealers, Manufacturers, other Financiers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient management of stock and payment of invoices, internal and external transfers, acquisitions and settlements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Monitor dealer credit lines on LLAS and reports regarding stock levels and liaise with dealers to ensure that stock is accounted for
- Action internal and external transfer within prescribed time frames
- Liaise with other financiers and auditors to ensure stock report reconciliation and timely settlement of new acquisitions and additional lending
- Ensure that bailment of vehicles is in line with the operating policy
- Action dealer payments
- Monitor dealer limits and payments. Escalate any issues noted as per the wholesale operating policy
- Assist with all Dealer enquiries, in a positive, confident and timely manner
- Liaise with financiers regarding transfer of vehicles, unit enquiries and other adhoc issues, including but not limited to wholesale settlements
- Monitor invoice payments and follow up if and when necessary
- Liaise with manufacturers and confirm that invoices are paid
- Follow up any outstanding credit notes or incorrect invoices
- Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Offer tailored solutions to remedy problems with accounts
- Follow up dealers in relation to limits and act as liaison between commercial credit team, relationship manager and dealer as and when required
- Assist commercial credit in preparing reports and following up dealers and Regional Manager to ensure collection of information
- Tertiary qualification in business or finance is desirable
- Experience in automotive industry is desirable.
- 2 years experience working in a customer service role or an account processing role
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop alternative solutions to problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate
