Engineering Design Global Enterprises Pty Ltd is looking for a high quality, talented Lead Structural Drafter to join us and be part of a growing team whose company culture is supportive, young, and flexible.

Reporting to the **National Drafting Manager**, in this position you will be responsible for:

- Leading and delivering your own projects.
- Preparing preliminary and detailed designs, sketches, and reports.
- Using engineering software and first principles to produce calculations.
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and engineers to deliver projects.
- Producing detailed engineering documentation to relevant Australian Structural Design and Building Standards and Codes.
- Liaising with drafting teams to resolve detailing and deliver projects on schedule.
- Mentoring junior staff who can assist you in producing engineering designs and reports.
- Complete structural site inspections, preliminary site visits and respond to queries throughout construction.
- Reporting to Senior Structural Engineer/s within the office.
- Assisting in the preparation of project bids and proposals. Lead projects whilst ensuring the project co-ordination occurs with survey, architectural and services consultants when required.
- Lead and manage your regional offices drafting deliverables.
- Contribute to EDGE through efficient drafting practices and workflows.
- In conjunction with the Office Manager, organise drafter get togethers’ with your team and contribute to spot recognitions of outstanding drafting team members.

**To Be successful in this role, you’ll have the following attributes**:

- Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
- Minimum 10 Years’ experience in design/consultancy environment.
- Experience as a Project Lead Drafter on Commercial, Residential and Industrial Projects.
- Attain a high level of people management and behavioral management skills
- Be a skilled and proficient user of either Revit / CAD systems. Revit Preferred.
