Our Client is seeking to engage an Parks and Gardens Supervisor / Parks Technical Officer - period of 15/05 until 10/06 - possible extension.

**Position Summary**

This role is responsible for the day to day Supervision of maintenance staff and contractors in consultation with the Coordinator Parks and Gardens.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Research the availability, cost and safety specifications required of products, services and plant and equipment related to Parks and Environment operations. This includes and is not limited to, new plant and equipment including mowers, trailers and chemical electronic auditing
- Undertake Field assessments of customer requests (Inspections)
- Contribute feedback and suggestions to meetings of the Parks Operations team
- Create estimates and simple charts (Excel) relating to projects as directed
- Track project expenditures to ensure they remain within budget
- Compile documentation for Purchase Order process for Supervisor and Co-Ordinator to action
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the level and scope of this position, as directed

**Essential Criteria**
- Leadership skills and experience, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience in quality control of parks and gardens maintenance
- Experience in working to maintenance schedules
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Current “MR” class driver’s license
