**The Role**
As an APS 6 Contract Management Officer within the Air and Surface Surveillance and Control (ASSC) Branch in CASG, you will be accountable under broad direction to undertake complex commercial contract management activities, ensuring compliance with Defence’s business objectives, legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.

Your role will largely focus on the Branch’s Integrated Workforce Package (IWP). As such, you will monitor and manage contract administration, performance and risks against the IWP contract, contribute to appropriate action and suggest opportunities for improvement. This will entail preparing and delivering a variety of procurement related documentation including correspondence; reports, plans and strategies; risk and performance reviews and contract change proposals. Further, you will be responsible for reconciling monthly invoices and providing data on the contracted workforce.

The role will require you to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders as you respond to complex enquiries and contract management issues, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action where necessary. You will also be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.

**About our Team**
The Air & Surface Surveillance & Control (ASSC) Branch is responsible for the management of all aspects of equipment acquisition, integration and provision of necessary through-life support of assigned air surveillance, control and navigation materiel capabilities. The Branch Executive Team provides administrative and business support to the Director General ASSC and has overarching responsibility for the business management of the Branch.
- A significant record of achievement in contract and workforce management and governance activities.
- A sound knowledge of the Major Service Provider Enterprise Support Services Agreement.
- The capacity to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance the achievement of contract management outcomes.
- The ability to build, manage and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as influence others to achieve tasks and business objectives.
- A strong attention to detail and a passion for spreadsheets.
