**About the Role**

You will be responsible for developing detailed designs of potential (and endorsed) solutions based on existing systems, packaged or custom developed solutions as appropriate, both on-prem and cloud-based. You'll be confident in the documentation of appropriate solution design deliverables and work with development teams to steer solution from concept to completion. You will assist in providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the initiative lifecycle, working closely with engineers, designers, business analysts and product owners to ensure a robust design and solution.

This role requires you to have excellent influential, presentation, socialisation, written and verbal communication skills, as well as a curious, energetic personality, capable of communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be working closely with a team of Architects; you'll work to understand the overall solution and develop and own end-to-end solution design deliverables required by projects and streams.

**About You**
- Deep experience in Software Engineering and development lifecycles across multiple platforms
- Demonstrated experience in documenting designs across a landscape impacting multiple development squads
- Experience building Microservices and API driven Applications.
- Experience incorporating Agile considerations by considering transitional state designs allowing for more frequent deliveries of capabilities.
- Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud services
- Experience as solution designer of project at Enterprise level
- Experience within an IT transformation project or large IT modernisation programme.
- Confident to understand and balance business and technology requirements.
- Exceptional written and oral presentation skills
- Exceptional collaboration skills, ability to both work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
