The Community Security and Emergency Management Branch (CSEMB) is looking for a self-motivated and committed Policy Adviser to play a vital role in shaping Victoria's emergency management agenda.
CSEMB provides high-level advice on a range of security and emergency management policy issues and undertakes strategic policy development projects.
As the Policy Adviser you will provide clear, succinct, and solution-focused written and verbal briefings on a range of emergency management policy issues.
As part of the Emergency Management Policy Team, you will contribute to complex research projects to evaluate and strengthen the coordination and implementation of Government emergency management policy.
You will also provide administrative and policy support for key State and National emergency management fora.
Please note, ability to obtain a national security clearance if required and availability for recall to duty in emergencies are required for this role.
About you
- Experience in policy analysis and co-ordination processes
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills
- Highly developed in interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Experience with preparing written documentation
- Excellent time management skills
