**The opportunity
We are seeking to raise the profile of UniSuper and expand our voice within the industry. Your role supports UniSuper doing this by:

- provide policy and advocacy support and advice across UniSuper
- monitor emerging policy issues e.g. new legislation, parliamentary inquiries, peak body submissions
- assist with drafting responses to inquiries and industry consultations
- secretariat support for UniSuper’s internal public policy work

The key deliverables and outcomes of this role will include:

- Monitor and coordinate responses to policy issues affecting UniSuper, particularly legislative changes and policy developments affecting superannuation, retirement and advice
- Support the internal UniSuper policy development work by co-ordinating policy updates for relevant UniSuper staff on changes to legislation and policy announcements with support from product team, legal, risk and compliance
- Stakeholder relations through industry body co-ordination: be the point of contact for industry bodies in developing policy positions and engage with in-house experts

**About you
- Government sector experience or work at a peak body or think-tank would be highly regarded
- Studies in public policy, tax, law, economics, social science or similar would be highly regarded
- Strong writing skills, particularly preparing concise summaries of technical issues to clearly convey policy considerations
- Experience in stakeholder management, particularly with public sector and industry body stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills including an ability to set priorities and work to deadlines
- Ability to work within a commercially sensitive environment and maintain confidentiality
