This position will see you working within a Federal Government department, based in Melbourne. The Legal Services team provides legal advice, support and services to the agency. They provide practical advice across a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, administrative and government legal issues to support business areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents. The position is a team leadership position and you will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. You will also be responsible for:
- Managing all internal and external legal reporting requirements
- Maintaining legal databases, extracting data and providing reports in a range of formats.
- Coordinating and drafting reports, briefs and other correspondence on legal matters
- Coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes
- Assisting lawyers with company searches and other legal administrative functions.
- Processing monthly accruals, managing contractor procurement and processing of invoices.
- Coordinating the workforce planning report and auditing data to ensure accuracy.

To be considered you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar management role.
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- A tertiary qualification in law will be highly regarded but not essential
