**How will I help?**

Sitting within Group Procurement & Corporate Services, the IT Commercial Manager is responsible for optimising Westpac’s relationship with their strategic partners and technology suppliers. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end procurement strategy by meeting the objectives and contractual delivery of products/services to the business, leading sourcing strategies in compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements. In your role, you will support the Head of Procurement and the Business Technology Solutions team to deliver on Group Procurement objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Negotiate and manage IT contracts in accordance with Westpac’s principles and processes.
- Execute a sourcing strategy, standards, methods, and processes to ensure compliance with legislation and regulation.
- Actively support and engage with internal stakeholders and external experts to ensure continuous improvements of commercial outcomes identified through review and benchmarking processes.

**What do I need?**

The purpose of the IT Commercial Manager role is to manage stakeholders and suppliers and to ensure successful commercial and contractual delivery of products and services to the business. A IT Commercial Manager will support the Head of Sourcing Portfolio and/ or Executive Manager to deliver Group Procurement objectives while managing and controlling the operation of contracts between WBC and suppliers.

**In addition, the below requirements will also be highly regarded**:

- Experience in commercial management including experience in negotiating and managing large contracts.
- A background in software procurement is desired but not essential.
- Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships internally and with suppliers
- Highly developed skills in negotiation of long-term sourcing agreements, demonstrating commercial and business acumen and pragmatism
- Demonstrable ability in developing and implementing sourcing strategy
- Understanding of relevant business and technology products and services
- Tertiary qualifications in business, management and/or legal studies or related discipline, or equivalent experience
