KB Seafood Co. is Australia’s largest seafood company operating at all levels of the supply chain including catching, processing, manufacturing, importing, exporting, and wholesaling. We provide over 30,000 tonnes of seafood annually to leading foodservice operators and major supermarkets.

Our brands include, KB Seafood Co, Just Caught Frozen Seafood, KB’s, and By George which is used under licence, and we have over 2,700 active products in the market.

**The Position**:
This role is responsible for the Development, implementation, maintenance, audit, review and improvement of the safety processes, policies, and procedures, targeting best practice and compliance with legislation.

This is a hands-on role where you will be supporting multiple fish processing operations across multiple states, as well as total business initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working with all stakeholders on the continued development of our Companywide Safety blueprint
- Leading, coaching, and training team members at all levels of the business.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety objectives and targets, policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Provide briefings to Executive Leadership
- Facilitate the activities and outcomes of the Safety committee.
- Be the 1st point of contact for all injury management matters and be able to manage the business and the staff member through this process.
- Management of Workers Compensation - including Compensation premiums, Administration, monitoring and reporting of workers compensation claims and return to work outcomes and maintaining the Injury Management database.
- Develop and maintain incident records including LTI’s, MTI’s, FAI’s and Near Misses, among others.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety, Certificate lV for higher
- Qualification in incident investigation
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with injury management, Workcover claims and rehab and return to work programs.
- Experience developing safety programs, Policies, procedures & incident investigations.
- High level of communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
