This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious person to come on board as a Junior Product Manager to join our Next Payments team based in North Sydney. We are looking for a reliable individual who can work well both within a team environment and autonomously, someone who displays initiative and a strong desire to contribute and learn.

With new product launches, strong business growth (140 employees currently, and we expect that number to increase to 170 by the end of this year), recently winning Casino and TAB cashless gaming tenders, it really is an exciting time to join Next Payments

**The Role**

As a Junior Product Manager, you will be monitoring the platform landscape working closely with other Product Managers and the Chief Product Officer to understand new and existing products, innovation, and trends. You will be responsible for existing digital and subscription products, including managing their development and innovation lifecycle, ensuring market collateral is appropriately developed and maintained, as well as supporting sales opportunities, marketing, and customer project deliveries.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Monitor new product and technology innovation and industry trends through engagement with partners both internal and externally.
- Research and report competitive product offerings in existing and target markets to identify product differentiators, value proposition and pricing.
- Support development and implementation of new product initiatives, and work with cross functional teams (development, sales and marketing, compliance, and operations) to convert products from concept and deliver to market.
- Support development of project deliverables including product scope, business requirements, functional design, and test planning/execution.
- Manage internal and external product change management.
- Develop and manage product collateral.
- Support product optimisation planning and execution, delivering periodic management reporting.
- Develop product metrics to facilitate the monitoring/reporting of the product life cycle and financial performance.
- Manage and build relationships with internal and external vendors and business partners.
- Support the sales cycle from a product perspective, as well support product delivery activities.
- Product SME to internal business and development staff.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualification (Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree) or relevant job experience of 1+ years.
- Proven experience with loyalty, business analytics and/or payment products.
- Experience in retail or hospitality, experience with card management systems and/or digital products advantageous.
- Knowledge in SOAP and REST API web services.
- Able to work well both within a team environment and autonomously.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong task management and multi-tasking skills.
- High level of organisational, coordination and prioritisation skills.
- Strong ability to transfer information, skills, and knowledge to other staff members.
- Committed towards undertaking duties efficiently, using initiative and a strong attention to detail.
- Project management and financial modelling skills are desirable.
- A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR is a must
