Part of the Knoxbrooke Enterprises group, Yarra View Bushland Flora Nurseries are leading wholesale plant nurseries located in beautiful Mount Evelyn, Victoria. We produce a broad range of plants across our 3 nursery sites and have customers across the south-eastern states of Australia that includes retailers, landscapers, councils and construction firms. We are one of Australia’s leading social enterprises organisations, providing supported employment and training opportunities for people living with a disability, in a true commercial environment. You can find our plants along the recently opened Mordialloc Freeway project as well as the Bayswater and Heatherdale Station projects.

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are looking for three experienced Nursery staff who are keen to share their skills and knowledge with others. These full-time opportunities will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a small team of adults living with a disability across tasks that may include plant propagation, hand/machine potting, plant maintenance, weeding and despatch. Supported by Training & Support Officers qualified in providing disability support and dedicated Employment Coaches, your role will be to:

- Undertake general nursery duties within your designated area
- Monitor and ensure quality production of plants
- Assist with on-the-job training
- Identify training needs
- Ensure team production targets are met
- General nursery duties as required

**ABOUT YOU**

Technically, you’ll have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a wholesale plant nursery environment and be passionate about all things plants. You will be a strong communicator who gains job satisfaction from supporting and encouraging your team to achieve. Successful applicants will also have a current manual drivers’ license and if you have a chemical user’s certificate, even better

Please note requirements of these roles will also include:

- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or authorised medical exemption
- Willingness to undertake a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Evidence of the right to work in Australia

**Salary**: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
