Area Manager - Home Modifications & Maintenance

About the role:
BaptistCare is one of Australia's largest home care providers and at the forefront of service quality and innovation. We are seeking an Area Manager to lead our Home Modifications & Maintenance teams during a time of growth, reform and national integration.
Based at our Prestons office, this role oversees government funded services to modify homes to improve safety, accessibility, and comfort. This includes the supervision of structural building works carried out by BaptistCare staff and contractors across NSW, ACT & WA, minor home repairs and maintenance services. Your teams will coordinate projects from assessment to completion, while you ensure all work complies with relevant laws, standards, building codes, and funding guidelines. You will work closely with clients and allied health professionals, providing expert oversight of services that make a real difference in people's lives.
Success in this role requires the skills to deliver effective, safe and person-centred services, alongside a commercial mindset to drive service sustainability.
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant trade qualifications in building and construction.
- Current licence for general building work.
- Current NSW Supervisor Certification endorsed by Fair Trading NSW.
- Demonstrated industry experience in residential building work and /or management of home maintenance and modifications programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Sound understanding of compliance, risk management, and relevant sector legislation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a complex, client-centred environment.
- Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and reporting.
- Current Driver Licence.
