The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Psychology.

The Lecturer, Education-focused Academic will lead unit teaching teams in PG programs, such as the Master of Professional Psychology, to improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will initiate, design and conduct productive, high-quality, scholarship and creative activities to enhance student experience and teaching learning outcomes in their discipline area.

The Lecturer will bring their applied experience in one or more areas of child, adolescent and family mental health, adult mental health, neurodevelopmental disorders, clinical interventions, or psychological assessment in developing and teaching in postgraduate programs. This position is suited to a person with an emerging record and passion for learning and teaching, a keen interest in contributing to community engagement for teaching and employability.

**As a Lecturer in Psychology, Education-focused, you will**:

- Lead unit teaching teams and work collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the course to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources
- Contribute to the review of units and courses and implement refinements.
- Demonstrate emerging reputation in the scholarship of teaching and educational development through independent contribution to pedagogical research activity and publication in learning and teaching, including testing the effectiveness of innovations designed to improve student and graduate outcomes including graduate employment.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
- Registered psychologist (AHPRA) _*Essential_
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in post-graduate professional psychology and/or clinical programs, including innovative curriculum design, using different ways of engaging with students (lectures, seminars, workshops, intensives) and different methods of delivery (face-to-face and online)
- Experience supervising fourth-year research thesis projects
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning.
- Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
