**Position Information**:
Bomaderry High School is a comprehensive, public secondary school servicing the communities north of the Shoalhaven River and south of Gerringong. Our Northern Shoalhaven Community of Schools encompasses Berry Public School, Bomaderry Public School, Cambewarra Public School, Havenlee SSP, Illaroo Road Public School, Kangaroo Valley Public School, North Nowra Public School, Shoalhaven Heads Public School and Bomaderry High School. There is a strong commitment to all schools supporting the K - 12 journey of our students.
Bomaderry High School has 681 students, 60.8 teaching staff and 15.082 SASS staff. Aboriginal students constitute 18% of the student population. Bomaderry High School currently has 10 Support Classes comprising of 1 IM class, 1 IO class, 3 AU classes, 2 BD classes, 1 ED class (MH1), 1 ED class (MH3) and 1 Suspension class.
Known as a consistent top ranking HSC school in the region, students have achieved success academically in a number of fields. This includes selection into National and International Science competitions. Performing arts, cultural and sporting fields are also promoted at the school, with students offered a wide range of activities. Many students have excelled in their chosen sport with some going on to represent NSW and/or Australia. The school is known throughout the region for success in the performing arts, with students able to join dance groups, bands, vocal ensembles and drama groups. Cultural activities are offered for our Indigenous students, including Koori Dance and NAIDOC week celebrations.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach Food Technology Stage 4-6.
- Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Hospitality-Food and Beverage providing the qualification entry benchmark* is met. Deliver VET Hospitality with a minimum Cert IV TAE 40116 Training and Assessment, or be willing to undergo training to attain the required qualifications.
