**Position Information**:
Hayes Park Public School serves a growing community in suburban Dapto on the western foreshores of Lake Illawarra. The school's enrolment has been steadily increasing and is now at around 601 students. Our students are placed in 26 mainstream classes, and an Autism/IO support class. Our students reflect a changing demographic with 9% coming from an NESB and 10% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

The library position is a 5 day a week position with applicants demonstrating a keen interest in technology and building positive rapport with students, staff and parents.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach (primary) library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education (Refer special notes below).
High level technology skills with the capacity to develop and maintain a modern, innovative library that supports and inspires teaching and learning across the entire school.
Highly developed communication, organisation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents and the wider community, and contribute positively to whole school culture.
Exemplary classroom management and well-being practices to develop a positive classroom learning environment and implement inclusive strategies to engage and support a diverse range of students.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.
