**Position Information**:
Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts is a secondary school with an enrolment of approximately 1190 students, including 54 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The school has local area enrolments as well as an auditioned Performing Arts stream. The school has the twin goals of academic excellence, and excellence in the performing arts. School priorities include _Student Growth and Attainment_, Authentic _Community Connections_ and _Inclusive School Culture_. Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts has a strong community reputation for success both academically and in the arts. The school boasts a comprehensive sporting program and offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities. The staff is both committed and caring with a balance of early career and highly experienced teachers. Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts also has a Hearing Unit located on site and an Emotional Disturbance Unit (Smith Street) located off site.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach Industrial Technology - Timber, Design and Technology, Industrial Technology Building and Construction - General and approval to teach or a willingness to undertake VET teacher training in VCG - Construction. Approval and/or willingness to teach Technology Mandatory Years 7 and 8.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of the TAS Faculty and to also design and deliver innovative, differentiated and inclusive programs for a diverse range of student learning needs.
- Proven ability to manage practical work areas to ensure student and staff safety, and to provide high levels of engagement in lessons.
