We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join the team, located in Canberra. You will be reporting to the Service Delivery Manager providing support with overseeing the operational implementation of our Estate Upkeep maintenance services.

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you can also expect to be involved in the advancement of our Defence & Critical Infrastructure function from innovating processes, to assisting on a variety of internal projects.

**What you’ll do**:
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

- Service delivery of tradespeople and subcontractors across the base services area sites.
- Preparation and scheduling of performance based and responsive maintenance works.
- Provide support with the delivery of facilities maintenance services to Defence properties throughout the ACT region.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships and achieve the highest level of safety.

**What you’ll bring**
- Extensive experience in a similar **Facilities & Maintenance **leadership role, ideally within the commercial building industry or industrial maintenance sector.
- Trade qualifications in an Electrical, Mechanical, Building or Plumbing (essential).
- Experience and proven ability in the provision of advice to management, clients, tradespeople and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of statutory obligations, Codes of practice and Building Code of Australia.
- Ability to lead, support and mentor teams with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Australian Driver’s licence (essential).
