This organisation is a leading, not for profit, high profile community services provider employing just shy of 1000 employees and volunteers across five locations in Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale, Bruthen, Metung and Nowa Nowa. Boasting a strong multi-disciplinary approach, this organisation works across Aged & Disability Services, Clinical & Nursing Services, Support, therapy, Education & Prevention, Family Youth & Children Services and Corporate Services.**About the Role**
As the Safety Advisor you will be standalone for the Health & Safety team, and be instrumental in providing advice and support to the organisation on all HSE strategies, initiatives, and activities. You will provide advice and guidance on all HSE Matters and drive continuous improvement in HSE culture through partnering with the business and encouraging accountability and collaborations. Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
- Management of the systems and resources which support the Health and Safety Framework Development and review of health and safety policies, procedures and templates.
- Ensure all related policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Review compliance, making changes as necessary to system/s and documentation..
- Conduct the necessary audits to ensure the required health and safety resources are in place, current and relevant to need (site, first aid, emergency response equipment, safety data sheets etc.)
- Conduct a range of risk assessments in home and across sites (environmental, manual handling, ergonomic etc.)
- Be proactive in hazard identification and risk management activities, evaluating the effectiveness of risk control measures.
- Ensure reporting requirements internal and external are met.

**About You**- Qualifications in WHS (or related field) or equivalent experience
- Driver’s licence
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring a safety management system within a multi-site organisation
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
