The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.

**About the Position**

Are you looking for a change of scenery? The City of Stirling is looking for expressions of interest in our Parks and Environment Business Unit which is responsible for providing attractive, safe, and well-maintained parks, public spaces, and environments across the City. This role contributes to that goal by providing labouring services including but not limited to; formative tree pruning, planting and watering street trees, staking, and tying trees, watering landscapes and mulching.

To be successful in this role you will be a safety focussed individual with substantial driving experience, holding a current ‘MR’ Driver’s Licence. You will be proficient at customer service and will be able to work well as part of a team and autonomously, taking pride in the standard of your own work and that of your team.

**Key Responsibilities**

The duties of the Tree Maintenance Operator will include but are not limited to:

- Operate the water truck for Aboriculture/Horticulture activities
- Provide general labouring duties associated with tree planting
- Promote safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment

**About You**
- Certificate in Horticulture/Arboriculture or demonstrated relevant experience;
- Certificate in basic traffic management;
- “MR” Class Driver’s Licence;
- Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card;)
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience using mobile devices to record work and information relevant to the role.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 5 Outside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $68,405 gross per annum plus superannuation.

- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia
