**About**:
As a global industry leader in taste and nutrition, they work collaboratively with clients in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors to develop products that are not only more nourishing and flavourful but also more environmentally responsible. Their ultimate goal is to become the trusted and preferred partner for their clients, contributing to a sustainable and health-conscious world. They are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to come in and join an established team, who will have overall accountability for Procurement activities for ANZ.
**The Role**:
In this role, you'll be responsible for both direct and indirect procurement categories. Collaborating closely with their APMEA Regional Category Team, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies across the ANZ region. Your expertise will be essential in negotiating contracts, building strategic supplier relationships, and tracking performance to ensure optimal cost efficiencies and service quality.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the APMEA Regional Category Team to devise and implement regional sourcing strategies.
- Procure selected raw materials and indirect services efficiently and within budget.
- Cultivate and manage key strategic supplier relationships within the ANZ region.
- Analyse and track performance within each spend category to make informed decisions.
- Lead the local vendor selection and negotiation process.
- Drive the PIPs program to achieve cost-saving targets.
- Work in partnership with counterparts on global and regional teams on tenders and projects.
- Ensure ethical practices are maintained while recruiting and maintaining suppliers.
- Provide insights into local market intelligence, sourcing analyses, and supplier research.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement category-sourcing initiatives.
**Successful Applicants will hold**:
- A minimum of 5 years procurement experience within a manufacturing/supply chain/FMCG/Pharmaceuticals environment in ANZ.
- A background in the ANZ food industry is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
- APICS/CIPS Certification is advantageous.
