**Location**:
In this full-time fixed-term contract, you could be based either at our Brisbane office or in the Bowen Basin. This position will require regular site travel to the Bowen Basin.

You will be working on a Monday-Friday roster while a Flexi work arrangement is also offered.

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and influential leader to take on 12-month fixed term contract as the Superintendent Site Systems within the BMA Non-Process Infrastructure team (NPI).

Reporting to the Manager Planning, Systems and Improvement (PSI), this role provides leadership of the Site Systems team and is accountable for the coordination and governance of the Safety and Health Management System, Material Risk Management Program, Contractor Management Framework, Training Management System and the associated information systems. The NPI portfolio, with exposures governed by both Coal Mining and Workplace Health & Safety legislation, also makes this a unique opportunity for people looking to develop and strengthen their skillsets in these areas.

**In this role you will**:

- Provide technical guidance to support the NPI leadership and Site Systems teams in the delivery of performance targets.
- Leverage your BOS capability to lead and embed initiatives that bridge identified gaps, facilitate change and embed new systems to support the continuous improvement of the SHMS and broader Site Systems accountabilities.
- Oversee the delivery of the Material Risk Management Program, Legislative and Contractor Management Framework and Systems.
- Monitor and support the effective delivery of the Training Management System and associated information systems.
- Develop strong working relationships and support site leaders to ensure in-field adherence to new and existing safety systems.

**About You**:
You will be a self-motivated individual with experience in leadership and highly skilled in stakeholder engagement to foster a collaborative approach to working.

To be successful in this role, you will possess relevant qualifications in Safety, Risk, Assurance, Law or similar and be able to demonstrate your experience applicable to the following:

- Developing, maintaining and improving safety management systems.
- Implementing and governing contractor management systems.
- Managing systems in line with QLD Coal Mining and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation.
- Regulatory bodies, governance and leading the risk management process.
- Delivery of simple, effective solutions in a changing environment
