The position of Yardperson at our Newcastle Grounds & Specialist branch in Beresfield is a key support role, responsible for the maintenance of the Branch yard area and ensuring the safe loading and unloading of equipment.

As well as providing a high level of customer service, you will also need to:

- Load and unload equipment from vehicles using safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Perform general yard duties, including but not limited to cleaning of plant & equipment, testing water-filled barriers, hose testing and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and organised yard.
- Assist with basic service and repair of non-high-risk equipment in a workshop environment.
- Promote a Safety First culture - _talk about safety to your colleagues and customers._

**What you’ll bring to the role**

As well as having experience in a similar role, you will also have the following:

- A current forklift & driver’s license.
- Experience with loading and unloading heavy vehicles.
- White Card and Electrical Test & Tag desirable but not essential.
