We are seeking to develop an** Automation Controls Technician** to join our projects team, based out of Hobart, TAS. Whether you are just starting out in your BMS/Building Technologies career, or have been established for many years, this role will provide a fantastic opportunity to explore your potential and develop your career working in a close-knit and experienced team, helping to deliver Honeywell projects across Tasmania.

Is it time for a change and to grow your skills into computer based BMS controls and security? If you are tired of just pulling cables, bring your electrical experience into automation and controls and come and join the Honeywell projects team

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Interpretation of customer briefs and consultant specifications
- Control system design and documentation
- PLC software and graphics development and system commissioning
- Sales Assistance, involving innovative use of latest technology in establishing system design, and providing project estimates
- Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met. Review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain submittal approval

**Key Experience & Capabilities**:

- Electrical Trade Certificate preferred
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills desirable
- Prior experience in BMS/HVAC and/or Security/CCTV systems is preferred
- Involvement in the commissioning of computer-based controls and security systems preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision
