**About the department**:
The Austin’s Consultation-Liaison team provide a comprehensive training experience across all Austin sites to both Stage 2 and Advanced Certificate trainees. Notably, the team have a liaison role to State-wide Austin services such as Austin’s Liver Transplant Unit, National Epilepsy Service, and Victorian Spinal Unit, as well as a range of other liaison roles including the Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre. External posts at the Mercy Hospital for Women are also available. Registrar experience is also available at the Psychiatric Assessment & Planning Unit (PAPU) which provides a opportunities to develop emergency mental health skills.

**About the role**:

- Assess and treat young people with mental health conditions, with appropriate level of supervision from the Consultant Psychiatrist.
- Provide clinical leadership and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Liaise with health care professionals across teams and divisions within Austin Health as well as external to Austin Health.
- Active participation in the weekly registrar education program and peer support.
- Active engagement in teaching and supervision for medical students/Interns/HMOs

**To be successful in this role you must**:

- Registered Medical Practitioner with current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A commitment to Austin Health values.
- Demonstrated knowledge of recovery and collaborative clinical practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care.
- Demonstrated capability and interest in research.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance
- Have completed a satisfactory Victorian Police record check and Working with Children’s check
