The Yallourn Power Station is a 1480 MW base load generating plant and is part of the diversified range of EnergyAustralia energy assets, supplying more than 22% of Victoria's electricity needs, more than eight percent of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and enough to supply around two million homes.

The Yallourn site is located approximately 130kms east of Melbourne, in an area renowned for natural beauty, access to Melbourne and a full range of modern services and infrastructure.

**About the Role**

The role is a 2-year fixed term position that will be part of a small, but highly effective on-site Environmental Management team, whose objective is to achieve compliance with the site’s Operating License and other related statutory obligations.

In your role of Graduate Environmental Advisor, you’ll assist in collecting environmental monitoring data, reporting & interpretation.

You’ll work within the Environmental Management System to ensure it is relevant and reflects current standards and compliance - as well as providing technical information and advice, ensuring continual sharing, and improvement of environment knowledge on-site.

With the provided mentoring from the Team Leader, and assistance of team members, you will be actively involved in on-site environmental matters and initiatives to ensure that the risk of environmental non-compliance is eliminated or minimised.

**Your role will include**:

- Assist with data collection, monitoring and reporting to achieve compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
- Assist with the review and reporting of environmental audit programs.
- Participate in the management of designated elements of the Environment Management System (EMS) to maintain ISO14001 certification.
- Contribute to immediate and effective responses to environmental incidents or events to ensure that environmental non-conformances are eliminated or minimised.
- Provide assistance with the response to community inquiries in a timely, professional and considerate manner.

**About You**
To be successful in the role you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Degree level qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Resource Management
- Familiarity in data collection including data management systems to accurately record and present data in appropriate formats and to approved standards.
- Document and Environment Management Systems capability and understanding
