The role is being established to provide procurement and commercial advice and support to the Earth Observation Program within Space Division. The role will support the Satellite Land Imaging Collection (SLIC) Branch and Digital Earth (DE) Branch in the delivery of EO Program which includes Landsat Next and key Digital Earth initiatives. As an APS6 Procurement and Commercial officer, you will be instrumental in driving Geoscience Australia’s Earth Observation procurement and commercial arrangements forward.

The role will provide advice and support business areas in undertaking compliant procurement processes, with an emphasis on supporting drafting and reviewing of complex contracts to ensure commercial engagement with suppliers aligns with organisational and program objectives. The role will provide expert advice on contract clauses, key commercial risks, and guidance on contract management principles.
