**About the role**:
An opportunity exists for a VPS 6 Executive Advisor to join the team within the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Specialist Operations.

The Executive Advisor is responsible for providing high level specialist advice related to the Commands within the Specialist Operations portfolio including Family Violence, Forensic Services, Road Policing and Legal Services, along with all Finance and Human Resource related matters within the Office of the Deputy Commissioner.

**Your duties will include**:
Reporting directly to the Deputy Commissioner, you will be required to:

- Develop briefing reports, prepare correspondence and communications in respect to complex, sensitive and confidential issues, including making recommendations and determining solutions that provide options for decision making.
- Foster and maintain constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders,
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current internal and external issues and risks, and be able to respond, investigate and advise in a responsive manner.
- Contribute effectively as a senior member of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that the portfolio meets its organisational deliverables.
- Provide leadership that supports the portfolio and promotes the portfolio's strategy and values.

**About You**:

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence.
- Ability to research, analyse and compile information for the purpose of presenting reports and recommendations.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- Excellent self-management skills, initiative, and ability to deliver timely and high-quality outputs.

**Further Information**:

- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
