**How will I help?**

This Manager Operational Risk assurance role supports the business and 1st Line Risk Teams to work within the Group’s risk frameworks and agreed appetite, ensuring risk management obligations are met; and enables the development & delivery of a strong risk culture.

As a Manager, Assurance (Technology), you will be supporting the Executive Manager Assurance, Head of Operational Risk and Assurance and Divisional Chief Risk Officer (CRO). you will be responsible to provide 2nd line oversight (review and challenge) and assurance across risk management practices and controls within the Consumer & Business Division (CBB). You will work with stakeholders across the broader CBB CRO team, CBB Lines of Business and Group Audit to generate key risk insights on the effective design and operation of manual, manual automated and automated controls

Your responsibilities will include:

- Stakeholder engagement for each oversight and assurance activity;
- Effective delivery of reviews, to ensure controls are designed and operating effectively to meet obligations/requirements, and assessing whether risks are appropriately managed;
- Testing and/or supporting the testing of a prioritised set of manual, manual automated and automated controls;
- Timely completion of reporting and issue remediation to a high quality standard;
- Identifying ongoing enhancements to the assurance methodology, framework and stakeholder engagement and annual review process;
- You will be asked to challenge and hold your own amongst some key people across the organisation and provide thought leadership on several matters as businesses adapt to process simplification and technology change; and

**What do I need?**

You will bring 5 plus years of experience across audit or assurance relating to the testing of automated controls. This experience will ideally come from a financial service organisation. You will have extensive technology audit or assurance experience over IT general controls, system interface and automated controls. You will have Relevant industry and other professional qualifications and experience in driving effective delivery of audit or assurance programs of work and issue remediation. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
