Strathmore Family Medical Centre have been providing healthcare to Strathmore, Essendon and surrounding suburbs for over 40 years.

We are looking for an **experienced **Medical Receptionist to join our team that is available to work Monday & Tuesdays and must be flexible to cover annual leave and sick leave as required.

Your role will be to support the daily operation of our practice and GPs. The responsibilities will include front desk duties

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Managing phone calls and enquiries, greeting patients
- Management of appointments
- Management of patient records
- Excellent customer service, confidentiality and high ethics standard are a must in this role
- Triage emergencies when and if they occur
- Always maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information
- Processing of payments and Medicare rebates
- Reporting to doctors, nurses and practice manager
- Routine cleaning of the practice and ensure the consulting rooms are kept neat and tidy

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience in medical centre or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical billing (MBS item numbers, preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and to multi-task
- Best Practice software experience (preferred but not essential)
- Computer literacy skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

**Schedule**:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Rotating roster
- Must be able to cover annual leave and sick leave

Work Location: In person

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $25.19 - $32.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Essendon, VIC 3040: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 1 year (required)
- Customer service: 1 year (required)

- Australia (required)
