Working closely with the CEO, some of the key accountabilities for this role include:

- Developing a strategic and tactical fundraising and marketing function for the organization;
- Supporting daily fundraising, marketing, and business development activities;
- Overseeing a small team to ensure the fundraising and marketing strategy and associated campaigns are targeted, effective and implemented within budget;
- Pursuing growth opportunities for the organisation through relationship building and leveraging your considerable experience to enhance brand awareness;
- Designing a suitable donor program including proposals and marketing material in collaborative with the CEO and Research Team;
- Encouraging innovative storytelling and professional engagement at all levels of the organisation, and
- Providing ad hoc support to the Board, CEO and Board Members to support fundraising, donations and bequest activities as required.

**About you**

You will ideally bring the attributes to the role:

- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to the NFP sector.
- Tertiary degree qualifications in relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable leadership / management experience.
- A genuine interest in medical / scientific research.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an interest in building relationships and rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously on projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- You enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and thrive in an innovative environment.
- You possess advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- You have advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite and ideally experience with marketing platforms (eg. Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor).
