Advoc8 is a six year old startup based in Surry Hills, Sydney. We make political engagement tools for government relations teams.

Over the past few years of lockdowns and economic turmoil we’ve seen how government decisions can make or break industries. Our Saas platform provides government relations and policy teams with real time data and collaboration tools to help them better understand government decision making and more effectively advocate for their issues.

We’re looking for a talented UX designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered designs for our web and mobile products.

This is our first UX hire so you’ll have the autonomy to really shape our process, pick your tools and have an outsized impact on the way our customers experience Advoc8. Aside from UX skills we’re looking for someone who is industrious, pragmatic and able to manage ambiguity.

Our app spans data analysis and charting, slick collaboration and task management, geographic maps and generating interesting ways to display political insights. You won’t be bored

You should have a deep understanding of UI design principles and the ability to create clear, concise wireframes that communicate your vision to the development team. If you are a creative problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating user-friendly designs, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop design concepts for web and mobile products that effectively communicate your vision to the development team
- Collaborate with the product and customer success team to understand user needs and develop designs that meet those needs
- Create designs that are clear, concise, and easy to understand
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that your designs are feasible and can be implemented effectively
- Continuously improve your design process to ensure that you are delivering high-quality work in an efficient manner

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience as a UX designer, with a focus on wireframing
- Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to create clear, concise designs
- Experience collaborating with development teams to implement designs
- A portfolio of successful design projects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
