One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a Vulnerability Analyst to work as part of an experienced and skilled team. The successful Vulnerability Analyst will have experience in technical cyber security resource and a background in either using, or performing analysis on software vulnerabilities. The successful Vulnerability Analyst will be offered an initial 12 month contract with 2 x 12 month extension options.

The successful Vulnerability Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Maintaining visibility on new and important vulnerabilities that become known in open source
- Investigating those vulnerabilities to determine the risk they pose
- Informing determinations about alerting and targeted communication
- Liaising and working with other CHIPs colleagues to determine the threat posed

The successful Vulnerability Analyst will have experience in the following:

- Experience using and/or analysing software vulnerabilities
- Experience in vulnerability management/vulnerability triage.
- Experience building software (scripts etc) to detect and verify software vulnerabilities
- General technical cyber security skills.
