**KU Craigieburn Children's Centre **is located on Windrock Avenue next to Mount Ridley College and Highgate Reserve. The service has free onsite parking as well as public transportation options to the service. The service has a generously large outdoor play space which wraps around 5 care environments as well as a large office space for the Director and Administrator.

This purpose-built service plays an integral part within the Hume Council community by providing high quality education and care to families from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The team of educators are all from diverse backgrounds, speak multiple languages and have good local knowledge of the community with many working and living in the local area.

KU Craigieburn was named as a finalist in the prestigious 2023 HESTA Early Childhood Education & Care Awards, in the Outstanding Service category. The service was recognised for its dedication to embracing cultural diversity, understanding and bilingualism, and helping to foster a sense of belonging for children.

At KU Craigieburn, the team specialise in incorporating home languages into the program and embedding cultural diversities into our everyday curriculum.

**The Role**

KU Craigieburn are excited to find an experienced Director who can innovate, inspire, motivate and lead a large, dedicated team. You will bring your experience of developing and maintaining relationships with children and families, rostering large teams, mentoring educators and teachers, supporting daily routines, policy implementation, team building and sound pedagogical knowledge.

You will have the support of a dedicated service administrator as well as the Education and Quality team, education support manager, learning and development facilitator and wider support services available across the organisation.

This is a permanent full time non-teaching role working 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday. You will receive a generous director's allowance and accrue a monthly rostered day off in addition to usual annual leave entitlements.

**Of course, you will need**:

- Minimum of 2 years of previous directing experience
- Australian working rights
- A current Working with Children Check
- An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willing to obtain
- Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- VIT Registration
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF
