**THE ROLE**

As part of our diverse team based in **Sydney**, you will help make a positive impact on someone’s life every day. You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.

The purpose of this role is to proactively and effectively manage all aspects of underwriting including processing and ongoing correspondence within the legislation in line with MPPG and Specialised Licence restrictions.

This will be a **Permanent** position based in the **Sydney** office, with flexibility to work from home.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review and action new business and renewal documentation to ensure appropriate risk and that timeframes are met
- Checking adjustments, renewals amendments and cancellations
- Reporting to management on New Business and Renewals in accordance with standing management reporting requirements

**ABOUT YOU**
- Experience in Workers Compensation Underwriting
- Understanding of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW), Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW) and other legislation relating to the Underwriter role
- An understanding of how a specialised insurer operates in NSW and how this differs to Managed Fund insurance
- A driven professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills, outstanding organisational and coordination skills
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy
- Ability to integrate, influence and work within a team setting
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management with external stakeholders
- Sound time management skills and the ability to work autonomously
